Random House Reveals New Line of ‘Wednesday’ Tie-In Books

Netflix’s hit series, Wednesday, is getting a slew of tie-in books for fans to pick up while they await the debut of the second season.

Eager for more Wednesday while you wait for the second season? Don’t worry, Penguin Random House is here to help with a new line of tie-in books ranging from little ‘Golden Books,’ to novelizations, and even a coloring book. The program of tie-ins will kick off in July and run through September, when the official cookbook arrives! Below, you can find all the details via the official release statement:

Penguin Random House LLC will collaborate with Amazon MGM Studios on a new worldwide publishing program for the global streaming phenomenon Wednesday, a series created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, produced by MGM Television and based on Wednesday Addams of the iconic Addams Family created by Charles Addams, it was announced today by Christopher Angelilli, VP & Editor-in-Chief & Director of Licensed Publishing at Random House Children’s Books, a division of Penguin Random House LLC. The program will launch in July 2024 and will include a variety of titles for children, teens, and adult readers, including an all-ages coloring book (July 2, 2024), a Little Golden Book (July 2, 2024), a Nightshade Society journal (August 27, 2024), a Wednesday young adult novelization (September 3, 2024), and a Wednesday cookbook (September 17, 2024).

Launching first on July 2, 2024, from Random House Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, is WEDNESDAY: OFFICIAL COLORING BOOK and I AM WEDNESDAY (LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK). Featuring highly detailed and hauntingly beautiful black-and-white illustrations, the coloring book is the perfect way for teens and adult fans of the hit series to channel their inner darkness, while parents can enjoy introducing their favorite show to the little ones in their lives with the delightfully ghoulish Little Golden Book perfect for young readers ages 2 to 5, as well as adult fans and collectors.

From Clarkson Potter, an imprint of the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House LLC, comes WEDNESDAY: THE OFFICIAL NIGHTSHADE SOCIETY JOURNAL: A Journal for Writing, Drawing, Coloring, and More (October 1, 2024). Join the most gothic Addams Family member and Outcasts including the Fangs, Furs, Scales, and Stoners in this notebook that’s perfectly suited for school, work, and home. With smooth writing paper, a dot-grid design, and macabre quotes from the show, this journal will hold your notes, thoughts, sketches, hexes, and more. A game and oracle deck will follow from Clarkson Potter in 2025.

Random House Books for Young Readers will also publish WEDNESDAY: A NOVELIZATION OF SEASON ONE by Tehlor Kay Mejia based on scripts by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, Kayla Alpert, April Blair, and Matt Lambert for the series created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, based on characters created by Charles Addams (September 3, 2024). Return to the hallowed halls of Nevermore Academy to revisit the adventures of season one of Wednesday through the first-person narration of Wednesday herself. When emerging psychic Wednesday Addams begrudgingly arrives at the school for Outcasts, she has a few things on her do-not list: do not make friends, do not attend court-ordered therapy, and do not lose to the monster.

Also forthcoming is THE OFFICIAL WEDNESDAY COOKBOOK by Emmy Award–winning television producer and author Mari Mancusi, which will publish on September 17, 2024, by Random House Worlds, an imprint of the Random House Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House LLC.
